  • Bitter End - 1981 W Burnside St. (only 3 blocks from our hostel!)
    They have live music seven nights a week. The many line-up of live bands, ranging from punk to bluegrass, usually at low to no cover.  Open 4pm-2am M-F, noon-2am Sat/Sun. (503) 517-0179
     

  • Crystal Ballroom - 1332 W. Burnside St. ( 8 short blocks)
    "Its bouncy wood floor, hippie-carnival murals and bitchn' sound system, can be pretty cool, too!" (Willamette Weeks) . (503) 225-0047
     

  • The Green Room - 2280 NW Thurman St.
    Nice heated patio/tiki-bar out back, and live music every night. Check out their real BBQ! Karaoke is on Sundays.

  • Jimmy Mak's - 221 NW 10th Ave (9 short blocks)
    They moved to new location in 2006. Here is well known and high honored of all local jazz clubs.

  • Music Millennium - 801 NW 23rd Ave.
    Nice local CD store in Portland! As people who know and love music, Music Millennium has hosted an array of in-store performances. There are other 2 locations in Portland.(503)-248-0163
     

  • Roseland Theater - 8 NW 6th Ave.
    This place has three levels with tow bars and a balcony. Roseland Theater offers big name alternative artists almost every night of the year.

    This bar is comfy and cool! They have some music events each day. Free pool and free hard-tip darts everyday!

  • Aladdin Theater - 3017 SE Milwaukie Ave.
    The Aladdin Theater locates on the other side of Willamette River, but no worries. The bus # 17 brings you to there. The sound is always great.  They offers pizza by the slice of & microbrews on tap. It's usually a relaxed crowd!
