Located in a charming, walkable neighborhood just steps from downtown, our family-owned hostel has been a beloved part of the community for over 25 years. We offer extensive capacity across six buildings on one block:

Whether you are organizing a trip for youth or adults, we provide flexible accommodations to ensure a comfortable stay. We can support groups of 10 to up to 100. Ask about our affordable breakfast add-on to start your days right!

What We Offer
The Group Center
Designed with youth groups (middle school, high school, and college) in mind, the Group Center is our most affordable option.
Accommodation for up to 30 guests in dorm beds.
Two private leader rooms, each furnished with a double bed.
Exclusive amenities: multiple bathrooms, a private kitchen, and a spacious dining/meeting area.
Need more space? We can book additional rooms nearby on the property to ensure your whole group stays close together.
Accomodations for Comfort and Privacy
If you require more privacy or luxury than the Group Center, consider these alternatives:
Rent a Full Floor in The Commons: Our main building offers modern dorms and private ensuite rooms when you book an entire floor for your group.
Book a Private Guesthouse: Perfect for adult groups seeking enhanced comfort and autonomy. Each of our three guesthouses features 7 to 8 private rooms with various setups (full, queen, and family beds), common areas, and multiple single-use bathrooms.
We don't just provide beds—we create connections.
Join the energy with our lineup of fun, hosted events, including popular walking tours, board game and movie nights, trivia, and more. We guarantee there's always something happening.
Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner
The Hostel Cafe is open daily for guests, featuring fresh bagels with various spreads, local Cascadia coffee, Smith tea, or juice. Enhance your breakfast with additional items like scrambled eggs, home-fried potatoes, and fresh fruit.
Catering: We offer catering for larger groups, featuring classic menu favorites like sandwiches, spaghetti, mac & cheese, soup & salad, and hamburgers. Smaller groups are welcome to enjoy meals by ordering directly from the Cafe's menu.
The Location
Located in Portland’s Historic Northwest Neighborhood, our hostel offers a comfortable and welcoming base for exploration, just a short walk from local cafes, restaurants, bars, and shops.

Enjoy the charm of the area along 21st and 23rd Streets, as well as the Pearl Arts District. Reach downtown and experience the neighborhood while having easy access to nearby attractions like Washington Park, Powell’s City of Books, Portland Saturday Market, and Providence Park soccer stadium.

Public transit, including the MAX train to the airport, is conveniently close, making it easy to get around and explore the city.
Street parking is available for $10 per day (free 7 PM–9 AM and most Sundays).

If your group is interested in volunteering or exploring Portland, we can connect you with opportunities supporting causes like homelessness, hunger, and environmental conservation through organizations like Blanchet House, Rose Haven,Portland Parks, and SOLVE. For sightseeing, we recommend our city walking tour, day trips to Multnomah Falls or the Oregon Coast, and visits to the Oregon Zoo and OMSI. We can also suggest free things to see and do around the city. Let us know what interests you, and we’ll help make it happen!
